the USA since switching his focus away from Freestyle Motocross. He has been on
the podium in 17 of his last 22 rallies, with 8 wins, including a Gold and a
Bronze Medal at the last two X Games Rally events. Pastrana is the 2006 and 2007
Rally America National Champion. In 2006, at only 23 years-old, he became the
youngest ever American Rally Champion, then defended his crown in 2007.
Pastrana has made the switch to rallying after becoming a legend on two
wheels. He is Freestyle Motocross? brightest star and is world famous for his
death defying stunts on his motorcycle. He has won the gold in Freestyle MotoX a
record six times at the X Games, and landed the first ever double backflip in
competition.
Subaru Rally Team USA is also headed for the World Rally Championship with
Pastrana. In 2007 Subaru Rally entered Pastrana in three rounds of the
Production World Rally Championship (P-WRC at the wheel of a Group N Subaru
Impreza WRX STI). Pastrana finished fifth in Mexico, 10th in Argentina and 11th
at Wales Rally Great Britain. The program will continue in 2008 with three
select P-WRC rounds.
